3D printing for medical device makers
For medical device makers we produce everything around the product: housing prototypes, assembly fixtures and test nests. Parts with patient contact or implants are explicitly not included.
Clear scope, no medical devices
How we support medical technology
Development and production, not the medical device itself.
Housing prototypes
Samples for devices in development.
Assembly fixtures
Nests for assembling sub-assemblies.
Test nests
Holders for functional and final testing.
Lab holders
Holders and organisers for lab and workshop.
Suitable materials
Materials for prototypes and equipment, chosen by cleaning agent and temperature.
- PA12Tough, low-friction nylon for functional mechanical parts.
- PETGTough, food-safe-capable everyday workhorse.
- PCPolycarbonate - high impact, high heat, transparent option.
- ABSClassic engineering ABS - strong, affordable, easy to finish.
- PC FR UL94Flame-retardant polycarbonate with UL94 V-0 rating.
Details for medical technology projects
- 01Intended use of the part and explicitly: no patient contact.
- 02Cleaning or disinfection agents the part will contact.
- 03Documentation requirements from your quality management.
- 04Quantity and repeatability.
Where 3D printing makes sense in medical technology
Medical devices are strictly regulated. Many parts in development and production, however, are not medical devices: fixtures, test nests, housing samples and assembly aids.
Manufacturers need exactly these parts quickly and in changing variants. Printing delivers them without tooling and with documented parameters, so a reorder matches the original.
We clarify upfront where the line to a medical device lies. That protects you and us.

Medical technology FAQ
- Do you make medical devices?
- No. We make prototypes, fixtures and equipment for manufacturers, not medical devices and no parts with patient contact.
- Are you ISO 13485 certified?
- No. For equipment and prototypes this is usually not required. We document material, batch and parameters on request.
- Do the parts withstand disinfectants?
- It depends on the agent. Tell us the product and we choose a suitable material or recommend a test.
- Do you treat development data confidentially?
- Yes, and we sign an NDA on request.
