3D printing for Flensburg and the border region

Produced in Schleswig, about 40 km south of Flensburg. For companies in the border region that means short distances: upload the file in the morning, have the part on your bench a few days later, without shipping across Europe.

What companies in the region print

Flensburg and the surrounding area are shaped by machine and plant building, marine technology, suppliers to Danish industrial customers and a growing number of small development teams. Enquiries follow that pattern.

Spare parts for running equipment

Broken plastic parts on machines with no drawing left. From the damaged part and measurements we build a printable model, usually in PA12 or ASA.

Parts for outdoor and salt air

Brackets, covers and housings that stay outdoors permanently. ASA and ASA-CF remain stable under UV and moisture, PLA is ruled out here.

Prototypes for development projects

Fit and function samples over several rounds. A short distance means short iteration time, because shipping barely costs a day.

Small series for Danish customers

Batches from a few dozen to several hundred parts, packed and labelled ready to ship. Deliveries within the EU without customs effort.

Suitable materials

In the border and coastal region the environment usually decides the material: moisture, salt air, UV and temperature swings. Recommendation and wall thickness follow from that.

What we need to quote

  • 01A STEP file, alternatively STL, 3MF, OBJ or IGES up to 200 MB. For spare parts a photo with a tape measure plus the key dimensions is enough to start.
  • 02Quantity and whether a repeat order will follow. That determines material lot and setup planning.
  • 03Installation location and environment: indoor, outdoor, salt air, temperature, contact with cleaning agents.
  • 04Functional dimensions that must fit, with tolerance. Without that we work to a standard of roughly ±0.2 to ±0.3 mm.
  • 05Mark threads, bearing seats and wear faces so inserts or post processing can be planned.

Why proximity matters for printed parts

The real time sink with printed parts is rarely the printing, it is everything around it: questions about the file, shipping back and forth, a second round after the fit test. Over 40 km transport hardly counts, and questions get settled on the phone in minutes instead of through tickets in a portal.

For companies in and around Flensburg that matters most in maintenance. When a machine is down, every half day counts. With the broken part in hand we can settle geometry and material directly and produce a replacement that keeps the equipment running until the original arrives or is replaced for good.

For suppliers with Danish customers there is a second point: production sits inside the EU, with no customs handling and no waiting for shipments from Asia. Anyone re-ordering a batch gets parts in the same material with the same parameters as the first order, which keeps fits stable across lots.

Questions from the region

Where are parts for customers in Flensburg produced?
In our production in Schleswig, about 40 km south of Flensburg. Parts ship by parcel service, collection can be arranged. We do not have a site in Flensburg itself.
Do you work with customers from Denmark?
Yes. The border region is part of our normal service area and shipping inside the EU needs no customs handling. We communicate in German and English.
How quickly can a sample part reach Flensburg?
Samples are usually produced in 2 to 4 working days. Because the distance is short, the parcel normally arrives the day after dispatch, and collection is faster still.
Which materials suit parts used near the coast?
For outdoor use near the coast we use ASA or ASA-CF, both UV and weather stable. PA12 is tough and moisture resistant, PETG is the economical choice for sheltered locations. PLA is not suitable for permanent outdoor use.
