More iterations, earlier sign-off
The first prototype is rarely the last. The faster a loop of printing, testing and changing runs, the more you learn before sign-off. We print variants in parallel so you can compare directly.
Samples in 2 to 4 working days
How teams use iterations
From rough concept to approved part.
Variant comparison
Print and test three geometries at once.
Ergonomics
Check grips and controls in the hand.
Step-by-step refinement
First form, then fit, then material.
Customer feedback
New version after each meeting.
Suitable materials
Early iterations in PLA or PETG, the final loops in the later production material.
- PLAFast, affordable prototyping and visual parts.
- PETGTough everyday material with grade-dependent compliance options.
- PA12Tough, low-friction nylon for functional mechanical parts.
- TPUFlexible thermoplastic polyurethane - Shore 95A.
How iterations stay efficient
- 01One clear question per loop that the test should answer.
- 02Version number in the filename or on the part.
- 03Only reprint the parts that changed.
- 04Change material only once geometry is right.
Variants in parallel, not in series
Many teams print one version, test, change and print the next. Each loop then costs several days. Ordering three variants at once saves two of those loops.
This is especially useful for fits, wall thicknesses or clip geometries, where the right size only shows in testing.

Iteration FAQ
Can you print version numbers onto the part?
Yes, if they are modelled as engraving or embossing in CAD. It helps a lot when comparing.
Is every iteration priced separately?
Yes, by size, material and quantity. Small changes therefore only cost printing the changed part.
How fast does the next version arrive?
Simple parts in 2 to 4 working days after file receipt.
How do I get a price?
Upload your STEP or STL file in the instant quote. You see the price immediately, and we check the file for problems before production.
Which information is needed for Prototype iterations?
Send a STEP file where possible, together with quantity, operating temperature, load, environmental conditions and critical dimensions. This lets us define material, orientation, production strategy and inspection effort for the part.

Using rapid prototyping properly: three rounds instead of ten
Most projects do not need ten prototype rounds. They need three, where each round answers one clear question.
Handing over design data properly: what a manufacturer actually needs
Most delays in contract manufacturing do not happen at the machine, they happen in the data handover. Four pieces of information prevent almost every query.
PETG or PLA: Which Material Fits Your Part?
PLA is stiffer, PETG survives more. The honest comparison for functional parts, not for display models.
